Part of the superstructure has been completed and new work is being initiated, such as laying the turf for the pitch, excavation work, and the coverage, which should be completed later this month. Construction work follows pace and today it has approximately 1,800 workers, which are divided into three shifts, providing 24 hours of work every day. The Marketing Manager, Arthur Couto says that the phase of the superstructure has been completed, which corresponds to the area of heavy construction work.
“We are working on the infrastructure of cables and tubes, with the installation of air conditioning and electrical and hydro installations. Engineering is not something linear, we can operate various work fronts simultaneously, in order to move forward on schedule. We are focused on finishing the work to comply with the FIFA specification. Our aim is December 2013 and which we will achieve” he said.
